Hey! ♡
We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve cried across 2,500 weddings that weren’t ours. Nobody warns you that’s part of the job.
You just end up standing behind a camera, at someone else’s Mehndi, wondering why your eyes are stinging over a joke you didn’t even fully understand.
Here’s what we think happens: weddings don’t actually care if you’re a guest or a photographer. If you’re paying attention, they get you anyway.
We’ve been paying attention for fifteen years now. Haldis, Nikahs, Anand Karajs, receptions that ran till 4 am because nobody wanted the night to end. The rituals are never really the point. What we keep learning, wedding after wedding, is why two people choose each other in the first place.
Funnily enough, we started this because of our own wedding, not the ceremony, the moment right after, watching someone else’s footage of it and realising we’d missed half of what actually happened because we were too busy being in it.
So now we do this for a living. And still, every single time, we feel a little lucky to be let in.
Whatever your day looks like, we’d genuinely love to be part of it.
